Delicja Polska (st. Krakowsie Przedmieście 64, 800 metres, 10 minutes by walk)

Dawne Smaki (st. Nowy Świat 49,  900 metres, 10 minutes by walk)

Dawne Smaki is a restaurant in Nowy Świat dedicated to fans of Polish cuisine. In the menu, you will find traditional Polish starters such as herring or steak tartare. You can also try one of the popular Polish soups: chicken soup, tripe or żurek. Among main courses you can find various proposals such as potato pancakes, dumplings, ribs, deer steak or lamb leg.

 

U Fukiera ( Rynek Starego Miasta 47, 1,3 km, 15 minutes by walk)

Their menu is an extraordinary combination of the history of Fukier’s townhouse with pre-war Polish culinary tradition topped with fascination with modern south- European cuisine.

Magda Gessler is widely known to take great care of the quality and provenance of all the produce. Her knowledge, experience, fantasy and life appetite combined with their Chef’s skills result in exciting adventure with gourmet taste. Here pre -war traditional taste meets southern temperament and Slavic hospitality.

 

Specjały Regionalne (st. Nowy Świat 44, 1km, 12 minutes by walk)

This particular restaurant serves traditional dishes which originate from various               parts of the country. Having a high regard for their top quality, they prepare meals always fresh on site. Organic products make a huge proportion of their food.

 

 

 

Polka (st. Świętojańska 2, 1km, 12 minutes by walk)

Elegant, colorful and cosy, Polka makes customers feel like invited guests in a friendly, old-fashioned Polish home. The restaurant belongs to Magdalena Gessler, a famous chef and journalist who led the Polish edition of the reality show Kitchen Nightmares and was a judge in MasterChef. Offering a wide variety of Polish dishes made from eco-friendly products either baked or roasted, Polka’s best plates include a traditional pork chop coated in breadcrumbs and served with onion and mashed potatoes, black pudding with apple and potatoes and a crispy duck in honey served with pan-fried beetroot or red cabbage.

 

 

WINE BARS AND GASTRO-PUB

Bubbles (Sq. Józefa Pilsudskiego 9, 450 meters, 5 minutes)

Bubbles is a restaurant serving international cuisine and champagnes. Place opened recently at Pilsudski Square. Cuisine at Bubbles focuses on simple international dishes, mostly prepared in front of guests. The menu features, among others, Raclette with pickles and orange jam, Foie gras fried with calvados sauce or Zander on kale with jasmine rice and crayfish sauce. Bubbles is one of the few places where you can drink champagne by the glass.

 

 

The Alchemist Gastro-Pub ( Sq. Józefa Pilsudskiego 3, 450 metres, 5minutes)

The Alchemist Gastropub features the first  Self-Service Beer Wall in the whole of Poland, where guests can pour one of 6 craft beers, cider or even Prosecco completely themselves. The beer selection at the Beer Wall also changes regularly. The Alchemist Gastropub is also known for international cuisine, inspired by trendy places in London and New York. English Chef – Edward Shellard – specifically recommends roast lamb, fresh cod on a bed of pea puree with bacon and caper reduction, handmade sage sausages or smoked BBQ ribs. The menu also includes snacks, salads, burgers and pizza, and the bar offers a wide selection of spirits, wines and cocktails. Every Wednesday in October, Maciej Szymanski – Bartending Champion – prepares special cocktails with TABASCO®.

 

Kieliszki na Próżnej Wine Bar (st. Próżna 12, 850 metres, 10  minutes by walk)

Kieliszki na Próżnej is a  wine bar and restaurant at renovated Próżna St. The place has a large selection of wines by the glass. In the current menu, you will find more than 100 wine bottles from Europe, each of them available by the glass. The owners of Kieliszki na Próżnejare Beata Gawęda (Vini e Affinia) and Paweł Demianiuk – sommelier. The Chef is Krzysztof Bugiera. The menu includes small bites called Talerzyki, well as egg dishes, starters, main courses and desserts. Examples are: Kohlrabi with bacon and breadcrumbs, Sturgeon with black pudding and egg, Cod with fennel, lemon and potatoes with chives.

 

Fat Buddha (st. Mazowiecka 2/4, 500 metres, 5 minutes by walk)

A two-level premises of surface area more than 800 m2, situated in the very centre of Warsaw at Mazowiecka Street No 2/4. Four meter high windows, an entresol and illuminated ceiling – highlight an open space of the place. The interior’s oriental character combines traditional elements of the culture of the East with the innovativeness and classic of the West. Opening hours and days: From Tuesday to Saturday in the afternoon – mainly in the restaurant form, in the evening as a cocktail bar.
Menu is made up mainly of the Japanese cuisine dishes but also of the classic steaks or fishes prepared with a note of orient. Our original cocktails will delight and surprise even the most demanding connoisseurs.

 

Restaurant and Coctail Bar SI (st. Marszałkowska 115, 1,2 km, 15 minutes by walk)

INTERNATIONAL/ MEDITERRANEAN

Thai – Thai (Sq. Teatralny 3, 650 metres, 10 minutes by walk)

The restaurant is owned by the same people running for a couple of days successful restaurant of the same name located in Sopot, hotel Bayjonn. In this elegant restaurant we can order popular Thai dishes such as Tom Kha Kai soup, Pad Thai and Satay. There are also Wok dishes, meat and seafood curries in various guises and fish served in various ways.

 

 

Bistro de Paris (Sq. Pilsudski 9,  450 meters. 5 minutes by walk)

Bistro de Paris is an elegant restaurant at the back of Teatr Wielki. It’s one of the oldest French restaurants in Warsaw. It operates without interruption and without any promotion for almost ten years. Broader audience learned about Bistro de Paris, when Michel Moran – Chef and owner – became a juror of famous MasterChef TV show. The menu is short and changed frequently. You can find here both golden standards of French cuisine such as onion soup, as well as dishes with Michel Moran’s signature. Bistro is regarded as one of the places with the best service in Warsaw.

 

Casa Pablo (st. Grzybowska 5a, 950 metres, 10 minutes by walk)

There are not too many Spanish restaurants in Warsaw, even though Casa Pablo wants to stand out from others. Therefore, the place offers creative Spanish cuisine. In the menu you can find, amongst others, Beetroot marinated salmon on cauliflower cream, as well as restaurants specialty – Confit pig from Segovia. Casa Pablo is authentically Spanish – the owner and cooks are Spaniards, fresh food – meat and fish – are imported from Spain. The most characteristic elements of interior design are: antique furniture, simple wooden wine shelves, the dominant colors are blue and brick. The oldest mirror in the restaurant is over 200 years old.

 

Foccacia ( st. Senatorska 13/, 850 meters, 10 minutes by walk)

Focaccia is an Italian restaurant in the Pałac Prymasowski at Senatorska St. Focaccia wants to combine the unpretentious atmosphere with a modern approach to Italian cuisine. The place focus on high-quality products, homemade pastas and pizzas prepared in front of customers. Gdansk. Focaccia starts early in the morning during the week days – breakfast begins from 8am.

 

 

Bombaj Masala (av. Jana Pawła II 23, 1,3 km, 20 minutes by walk)

Traditional Indian dishes based on local Polish products and Indian spices are prepared onsite  by experienced cooks from India. You can start the morning here with an Indian breakfast, then continue with lunch and finish your day with oriental dinner. The menu features Indian specialties baked in tandoor oven, a wide choice of dishes with chicken and lamb (such as tandoori chicken, lamb carpaccio, butter chicken), but also vegetarian and vegan dishes. Bombay Masala is a family friendly place, in the restaurant you can find a special area for children.

 

 

STEAK HOUSE / SEA FOOD

Der Elefant (Sq. Bankowy 1, 1,2 km, 15 minutes by walk)

Der Elefant restaurant was relaunched recently in a renovated building of the former Hotel Saski on Bankowy Square 1. Interior of Der Elefant is completely changed. The place is styled for New York lofts from outside. Allan Starski, well-known production designer, is responsible for the design of the restaurant, both inside and outside. The restaurant is now much larger, it has the space of three floors. The place has three main bars and an additional wine bar. The menu features completely new dishes from different cuisines – among others burgers, osso bucco, canard cassis, Polish pierogi and Singapore noodles.

 

Butchery & Wine (st. Żurawia, 1,5 km, 19 minutes by walk)

Butchery & Wine is a place for real meat lovers. Meat, especially beef is hero of the menu. Steaks are served on wooden boards and waiters are dressed like butchers. If you don’t feel like beef, you can try pork, duck, veal and choice of non-meat products such as seafood and salads. Butchery & Wine has been awarded The place of the Year 2011 by Gazeta newspaper, and received  Michelin Bib Gourmand.

 

 

Ed Red (Sq. Mirowski 1, 1,4 km, 17 minutes by walk)

The place is a second location of Ed Red known from Krakow. Adam Chrząstowski is chef here, Master Sommelier Adam Pawlowski is responsible for selection of wine. The restaurant is located in Hala Mirowska, the interior is dominated by wood, navy blue color, original chandeliers and an open kitchen. Ed Red is focused on meats. It offers unique in Poland steaks from dry seasoned meat, thanks to which the have an exceptional flavor and texture.

 

 

Ole (Sq. Three Crosses , 1,6 km, 20 minutes by walk)

Ole Tapas Steak Restaurant is a small two floor Spanish restaurant located on Bracka Street. Images of Flamenco dancers,  jamon cerrano  heavily present give the place spanish look and feel. The menu is dominated by different tapas and beef steaks. Steak lover can choose from several types of beef: Basque, Galician, Polish Ecological or  Wagyu beef – KOBE Style. Apart from meat steaks there are also tuna steaks available.

 

 

Warszawski Sznyt (st. Senatorska 2, 1 km, 12 minutes by walk)

The place is split to two levels, it has two open kitchens and a very attractive view on the Castle Square. The ground floor belongs to the steaks from the wood grill and to international cuisine, on the first floor ambient is more elegant and the emphasis on Polish cuisine. Chefs here are Rafal Zareba – (formerly Atelier Amaro) and Michal Węcławek (formerly Salto). Warszawski Sznyt belongs to Restaurants Krawczyk, in the possession of which is, among others, Pub Guinness in Wroclaw, and the restaurant chain Sami Swoi.
